Mount Everest College, Senapati, successfully organized a One-Day Orientation Programme which is likely to introduce the newly implemented 4-Year Bachelor’s Degree with Honours Programme under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 (which is under process) in the institute. The event, coordinated by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), marked a significant milestone as the first of its kind at the institution under the affiliation of Manipur University.
The orientation aimed to familiarize incoming students with the academic framework, structure, and objectives of the 4-Year Undergraduate Programme. Mr. Gonmei Meithuanlungpao, Vice Principal of the college, delivered the Technical Keynote Address, offering in-depth insights into the components and expectations of the new curriculum.
Key topics addressed during the orientation included:
Detailed overview of the 4-Year course structure, particularly for the VII and VIII semesters under NEP 2020.
Potential challenges and opportunities associated with the transition to the new academic format.
Anticipated programme outcomes.
Career prospects and avenues for academic progression following graduation.
The programme concluded with the distribution of the Academic Calendar for the 2025–26 academic year, symbolizing the formal commencement of a dynamic and student-centric educational journey.
Mount Everest College continues to take strides toward academic excellence and holistic student development in alignment with national education reforms.
