The Mount Everest College Alumni Association (MECAA) is an association of former students of Mount Everest College, Senapati District, Manipur has been functioning from 2021 at the college campus. It was formed with a view to keep the silken threads of the attachments between the old students and the Institution. The main aim of the Association is to maintain the link between college and Alumni and share their details of employment and achievements.

Mount Everest College Alumni Association (MECAA) welcomes you all to join our great community which endeavors to impart, share and collaborate our collective experience among ourselves, the society and the future alumni. Feeling a duty to give back to our beloved institution the leanings that we acquired from it; with renewed and fruitful learning we experienced in life enriching it further. It’s time we act together, now and in synchrony to make our society and environment a better place to be in.

Mount Everest College Alumni Association (MECAA) has always been a source of support and inspiration for the students and the staff of this college. With a long list of famous personalities in the field of Teachings, Researches, Doctors, Engineers, Politicians, Beauty Pageants, Music, Literatures, Sports, Entrepreneurships, etc., who have become an alumnus of this college have made the institution proud for years.

Many provide a variety of benefits and services that help alumni maintain connections to their educational institution and fellow graduates. The alumni members meet for an Annual get-together every year and all the Alumni present are taken around the campus. All the Alumni can participate in various entertainment programs and games organized by the college and also provided with refreshments and lunch.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

1. To provide a platform for interaction between alumni, present students, faculty of the college, and the college administration; and to serve as a linkage for Mount Everest College.
2. To make available the expertise and experience of the alumni for the development of the personality and educational activities of the college, including the facilities and infrastructure of the college, with the help of active participation of the alumni.
3. To conduct competitions, seminars, and workshops for students focusing on educational topics by inviting eminent personnel to address them.
4. To foster the spirit of brotherhood and comradeship among the alumni of Mount Everest College.
5. To provide a forum for alumni to exchange ideas on current academic, cultural, and social issues.
6. To provide a forum and platform to foster, encourage, and build a sense of belonging among the members of the alumni, the present students, the staff, and management of the college with the common goal of all-round development.
7. To organize various programs that may inspire and motivate young students for their intellectual growth and amelioration.
8. To provide information about employment opportunities (career counselling) and support whatever is possible for the current college students.
9. To arrange get-together of the alumni and socio-cultural functions of the alumni.

FUNCTIONS

1. MECAA often organizes social events, publish newsletters or magazines and raise funds for the institution.
2. Advice to nearby society for their children or wards to admit in this institution.
3. Many provide a variety of benefits and services that help alumni maintain connections to their educational institution and fellow graduates.
4. Contribute so many things such as – Books, any equipment’s for laboratory, new supporting models for teaching learning process.
5. Raise various endowment funds and award stipends act of it to the deserving students on needy cum merit basis.
6. To promote and foster mutually beneficial interactions between the alumni and the present students and alumni themselves.
7. To encourage the formation of chapters as a means to increase participation of alumni.
8. To enable the alumni to participate in activities that would contribute to the general development of the college.
9. To arrange and collect funds for the development of the college.
10. To take advantage of developing technologies like the internet in achieving the aims and objectives of the association.
