January 14, 2025 The Directorate of University & Higher Education, Government of Manipur, has selected Minor Research Projects for the academic session 2025–26 for Government and Government Aided college teachers across the state. From Mount Everest College, three faculty members have been selected. Mr. Donkaolung Malangmei from the Department of English will work on “The Role of Folklore in Preserving Cultural Identity: A Case Study of Rongmei Naga.” Ms. Hatminchong Haokip, also from the Department of English, will undertake research on “Exploring Feminism and Social Critique in Ismat Chughtai’s Short Stories.” From the Department of Zoology, Ms. L. Lungshila will conduct a study on “Tylototriton Found in Zaimeng Lake, Manipur, North Eastern India.” These projects aim to contribute significantly to their respective fields and local relevance.
