On February 1, 2025, the Department of Botany organized an internal field trip to Bunning Wildlife Sanctuary, Tamei as part of the 5th Semester paper BOTD509: Plant Pathology. The purpose was to conduct a field visit, survey, and collect plant disease samples. Objectives included identifying common plant diseases affecting various plant species, documenting symptoms, and analysing the severity of infections. Students also aimed to determine the primary pathogens and environmental conditions contributing to these diseases. Additionally, the trip focused on exploring potential management and disease prevention strategies practiced in conservation. The visit provided valuable practical exposure and research insight.
