Anti-Ragging & Anti intoxicant campaign

 

 

 

A ‘One Day Anti-Ragging & Anti intoxicant Awareness Programme’ was conducted on  19- 09-2022, 10:00 am at Mount Everest College Auditorium hall organized by the Anti-Ragging &  intoxicant cell to give awareness and prevent the menace of ragging and maintain healthy interpersonal relations, not to pollute their internal body environment with any form of intoxicants among students in the college.

Ragging is strictly forbidden on and outside the college campus and is an intoxicant-free zone. For this purpose the Anti-Ragging & Anti intoxicant Committee has been actively functioning and making efforts to maintain a calm and quiet environment on the college campus. The resource person Jangminthang, Asst. Professor, Department of Sociology, MEC elaborated on ragging, and types of ragging and informed the gathering about the consequences of ragging if found guilty depending upon the nature and gravity of the offense, which in his opinion would be devastating. Later at the end, A mass-spoken pledge was made by the gatherings not to indulge in any form of ragging and intoxicant. Nearly 300 students participated in the programme
