MEC conducted Anti-Ragging Awareness Programme

ANTI-RAGGING CAMPAIGN

A ‘One Day Anti-Ragging Awareness Programme’ was conducted on  02- 09-2022 at Mount Everest College for the students. The programme was organized by the Anti-Ragging Committee to give awareness and prevent the menace of ragging and maintain healthy interpersonal relations among students in the college. The Programme started at 09:30 a.m. in college Campus with the welcome address by Sanjenbam Vikram,Asst. Prof., Department of Computer Science and introduced the resource person to the gathering.

Ragging is strictly forbidden in and outside the college campus. For this Purpose the Anti-Ragging Committee has been actively functioning and took efforts to maintain the calm and quite environment in college campus. The resource person Worinyo Muinao, Asst. Professor, Department of English, MEC started her speech with an explanation to ragging, types of ragging and informed the gathering about the consequences of ragging if found guilty depending upon the nature and gravity of the offense, which in her opinion would be devastating. And later at the end, A mass spoken pledge took by the gatherings not to indulge in any form of ragging led by DS Ngaonei, Asst. Prof., Department of Political Science, MEC. Nearly about 170 students filled their anti-ragging affidavit form and submitted through the portal of college.
